Support for Planned Preservation Projects
The USS Cassin Young DD 793 Association with support from members of the DESRON 30 Association replaced the faded Destroyer Squadron 30 insignia on the port side stack August 17, 2020. The decal restoration project was completed by Boston Building Wraps (BBW).
Future projects that the USS Cassin Young DD 793 Association plans to fund include fabrication of curtains that were in the Enlisted Mess and restoration of upholstery in the Wardroom.

The fall edition of the Tin Can Sailors magazine contains an article about the USS Cassin Young DD 793 Association and the Friends of the Cassin Young (FOTCY) working to together to combine resources to support USS Cassin Young Volunteers and the National Park Service in their efforts to preserve the Ship
